This vintage River Forest gem, boasts charming features of original parquet flooring and layered moldings throughout. It was begging for a refresh to the ‘heart of the home’, which was overly compartmentalized with traditional formal dining and small kitchen. We reinforced the second floor, removed a wall and transformed the main space of the home to reveal an airy, elegant and open eat-in kitchen

For our client, this home materialized as a dream after many years of searching for the perfect one. As a young, professional and busy family who has a love for charming properties, we harnessed all of the details to make the dream even better! Between client and designer, we selected the perfect combination of architectural features, work flow, product and materials to accentuate the inherent characteristics of the kitchen and people who live in it.
