The Mood:
Building upon a bold, progressive and colorful backdrop we were tasked with establishing a new brand experience by creating a welcoming lobby space for new clients, visitors and employees. A main feature of the new space incorporated the original, vintage printing press. Another key component was to create privacy and enclosed spaces without typical framing and drywall. Our solution was clear coated, white-oak slat walls. This solution achieved the balance of proportion, function and visual weight.
The Client:
As a second generation business, SPC is well known for being the 2nd largest post office in the Chicago area mailing out millions of pieces of marketing mail for other companies around the country. That printing press in the lobby, was an original! Today the facilities house some of the industries most state of the art machinery establishing SPC as one of the most successful printing companies in the nation.
